The Downside Phentermine Side Effects

Phentermine is a commonly recommended drug for weight loss. It works by suppressing or reducing the appetite of an individual. Despite the fact that it helps in reducing body weight, Phentermine also has adverse effects such as chest pain and dry mouth. Currently, there are many options for weight loss, therefore, it’s always advisable to first talk to the medical practitioner to determine the best weight loss plan that can work for you.

What is Phentermine?

Phentermine is the type of drug that suppresses one’s appetite by working mainly on hypothalamus (the center that controls desire) to help minimize the urge to consume a significant amount of meals and help to get rid of excess fats. The pills are always followed by exercise schedule as well as low calorie if you want to achieve the significant results. The tablets are only offered to the individuals who are exclusively obese or overweight, and this means a body mass index should be twenty-six or more. Phentermine is the most effective medicine at assisting people to lose weight by approximately 5% of their average body weight if administered in fourteen weeks.

Phentermine Side Effects

Phentermine side effects are classified into long term and short term.

Short-term Effects

Phentermine is the most used drug for weight loss medication. In fact. It’s considered tolerable by many persons. Nevertheless, it has some mild or short-term side effects. The most common impact among the drug users is a dry mouth. Besides. Phentermine is also known for causing an unpleasant taste in the mouth. Hence, any person using the drug must keep a glass of water around when taking medicine.

Other short-term Phentermine side effects include:

  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Headache
  • Mood swing
  • Fatigue
  • Dizziness

Long-term Side Effects

It’s unfortunate that Phentermine doesn’t work or fit all users and it might probably have a severe effect that might require doctor’s attention. Any individual administering these pills with the aim of weight loss experience a variety of outcomes such as:

  • Dependency

Phentermine can cause addiction, and thus users shouldn’t exceed as prescribed by the doctor or use it for a longer time. The duration a patient takes these drugs depends typically on the way they react to the treatment. Because an individual is likely to regain her former weight once she ceases taking the pills, it’s advised to combine it with the exercise plan and other general meals.

  • Restlessness

Patients taking phentermine to suppress appetite as a technique for weight loss often complain of nervousness or restlessness followed by insomnia and other sleep-related complications. Other effects include high blood pressure, extreme anxiety, faster heartbeat.

  • Lung and Heart Complications

Phentermine can cause lung and heart diseases such as heart valve defect or pulmonary hypertension. In fact, the effect increases with the more prolonged usage of the pills. Also, incorporating these pills with other diets may result to severe damage of these organs.

Other severe effects include:

  • Swelling of legs and ankles
  • Fainting
  • Difficulty performing regular tasks or exercise

If you experience any of these side effects, ensure you report to your medical practitioner immediately for a checkup.

Things to Consider Before Taking Phentermine

Despite the fact that phentermine drug is certified by the Food and Drug Administration and termed as the most effective medication for weight loss, it’s not always safe for every person. Because of its long-term effects such as higher blood pressure and increased sugar level, these pills shouldn’t be administered to the specific group of people such as those suffering from kidney ailments or diabetes. Also, it’s not suggested for persons with hyperthyroidism or commonly known as over-active thyroid since the pills may worsen the condition.

Because alcohol worsens phentermine’s side effect, the patient shouldn’t take any alcoholic drinks when using it. It may result in drowsiness or even false sense of yourself. Furthermore, you should avoid driving or operate any machine when you’re administering phentermine for the first time until the time you will understand it’s effect on yourself.  Therefore, ensure you see the doctor for a better description of your weight loss plan that will offer a significant result. If you experience any of the symptoms mentioned above after taking phentermine, don’t hesitate to seek medication.

TruVision Health: An Objective Review

The search for the best-quality, most-effective health supplements continues. Today we want to take a look at TruVision Health, and give it an objective review. There are quite a few customer reviews of the product casting them in a less than positive light, but everyone deserves their day in court, right? So we’ll take a look and analyze for ourselves all the information out there on the product so we can figure out if this is the real deal or just another one of the endless non-starters out there.

What’s It About, Exactly?

First things first. TruVision is a company that specializes in a wide variety of products including such well-known names as TruEssentials, TruNeccessity, and TruHealth. Note before we go much further that the lukewarm reviews we mentioned above weren’t complaints about negative side-effects as such or complaints about their health being impaired as a result of using the product, but more like customers bemoaning the lack of personal results they experienced with the product.

That’s why we figured a closer inspection of what exactly goes into their product might shed some light on to what exactly is going on here. That’s what we’ll be getting into a bit further down. For now, here’s a bit more background information on their product.

The company introduced their TruVision supplement line back in 2014 with the ostensible aim of helping their customers achieve their weight-loss aspirations. They are widely available from a large number of distributors, retailers, as well as their online store where you can order directly from them.

Does The Science Back Up TruVision’s Claims?

One thing we noticed about the supplements, which are to be taken twice a day, was the inclusion of natural ingredients in their formulations. Some of these TruVision Health ingredients included:

Bitter Orange
Caffeine
Various Vitamins
Dendrobium
Assorted Minerals

The company claims that their products will help their clients with losing wight, and that the results will be evident. What we couldn’t locate anywhere, however, were any independent clinical studies to back up these claims about TruVision Health.

What we could find, however, was ample evidence from clinical studies that confirmed the fact that the ingredients that go into the product do have a beneficial impact on weight loss. Rasberry ketones, green tea extract, caffeine, and others all have a well-documented backing in science regarding their effectiveness as weight loss helpers. We would love to see someone carry out a formal study on TruVision products in order to more solidly back up their claims.

TruVision ‘Side-effects’

Every dietary supplement out there will have is fair share of possible side-effects, and this is no exception. For people with a low tolerance to caffeine, some feelings of shakiness or jitters are a possibility. For some others, feelings of impatience and agitation might present themselves. Should these be the case for you, it’s recommended that you decrease your dosage of the supplement. It shouldn’t worry us too much though, as it’s only a matter of getting used to caffeine in your system and the effects will fade away on their own with time.

Again, it’s not everybody who will experience these side-effects. In fact, for some users reported POSITIVE side-effects of the supplement, for example some users who stated that their stomach issues vanished once they started on the supplements.

Can We Trust These Guys?

That’s the real question here, isn’t it? There is no end to the reports of these so-called health companies scamming unknowing customers with useless, ineffective, and potentially harmful products, so it’s wise to be careful with them.

In April 2015, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) contacted numerous companies offering products that contained 4-amino-2-methylpentane citrate (DMBA), and TruVision was on that list. They stated that the ingredient was still not cleared for human consumption, and thus they requested that the companies do away with it until it was approved.

TruVision immediately complied with the directive and pulled its affected products from all shelves. The thing to note here is the fact that TruVision demonstrated its commitment to fully complying with all safety precautions out there, even when it probably cost them money. That’s not how scam companies behave. Not by a long shot.

In Conclusion

At the end of the day, every supplement comes with clear instruction son its usage, and accompanying directions on what lifestyle changes will need to be made or avoided for them to work effectively.

We might not know whether customers who don’t experience the results they expect follow these instructions as they should, but the science behind the ingredients of TruVision Health is solid. It has shown positive results for untold numbers of people, and we think confidence in their products is not misplaced. Try them out for yourself.

Kindness And Compassion Help Cancer Patients Speed Up Healing Process, Reduce Pain: Review

Kindness and compassion can work wonders in helping cancer patients recover faster and reduce pain. A study published in the Journal of Oncology Practice suggested six basic acts of kindness that have positive impacts on patients and caregivers.  ( Noah Seelam | Getty Images )

Basic acts of kindness and compassion for cancer patients can go a long way, especially in speeding up their healing process and reducing pain.

In 2014, Dignity Health, in partnership with Stanford University Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, conducted a review of evidence-based works of literature exploring the impact of acts of kindness in the quality of healthcare.

Neurosurgeon Dr. James Doty, the research author, said the review suggested that healthcare, when delivered with kindness and compassion, can greatly reduce the duration and severity of common colds. More importantly, in a broader context, it can lead to better patient outcomes, reduced pain, and shorter hospital stays.

“In every domain of life and especially in healthcare where fundamentally we are focused on those suffering, kindness and compassion have a profound positive effect,” said Doty. “Human kindness, science, and technology form a powerful combination that can save lives, create the environment for healing and by doing so decrease cost.”

Above All, Be Kind

Specifically, kindness in the healthcare setting affects patients in at least six different ways. The study highlighted that patients are twice as likely to listen to medical advice if their doctor is a good communicator.

When patients require anesthesia for any operation, CCARE urged anesthesiologists to boost their patient’s confidence so they can take 50 percent less of the drugs required.

Patients who feel comfortable with their care provider are also inclined to share more information about their health; thus, making diagnosis more accurate. Compassion also enables patients to recover completely and prevent them from returning to the emergency department for the same illness.

CCARE concluded that compassionate healthcare environments are found to be more effective than aspirin in preventing heart attacks or stopping smoking habits.

As it turned out, kindness does have positive impacts not only on patients but also on caregivers. Caregivers working in kindness and compassion-oriented culture tend to be more engaged, less exhausted, and more resilient to stress.

Caring For Cancer

Leonard Berry, a distinguished professor of marketing at the University of Texas Mays Business School, said kindness and compassion are much needed in cancer care setting being a “high-emotion service.”

Berry’s study, published in the Journal of Oncology Practice, recommends six basic acts of kindness to relieve negative emotions that come with cancer diagnosis and treatment.

These six acts of kindness include deep listening, empathy, generosity in discretionary efforts, timely care, gentle honesty, and support for family caregivers.

“Cancer patients commonly depend on family members for assistance with medical care, daily needs and emotional support. Family caregivers themselves require training, timely assistance and emotional care to perform their role and to maintain their own health,” Berry said.

Stress And Grief During Pregnancy Increases Chances Of Mental Health Illness In Children: Study

A study has shown that stress is a potent indicative factor of adults being depressed or children having ADHD. This data explains one of the possible causes of the increasing purchase of mental health prescription drugs.  ( Ian Waldie | Getty Images )

Women who experience stress and grief during pregnancy may be increasing the odds that their child might develop mental health illnesses once they grow into adulthood.

Scholars from the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy and Research conducted a study looking into the impact of maternal stress on the overall health of the unborn child. Lead authors Petra Persson and Maya Rossin-Slater said that what seems to be a natural process of getting over a deceased loved one could actually lead to ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

“We find that prenatal exposure to the death of a maternal relative increases take-up of ADHD medications during childhood and anti-anxiety and depression medications in adulthood,” Persson and Rossin-Slater wrote in the paper published for the American Economic Review.

Fight Or Flight

The study followed infants born between 1973 and 2011 whose mother lost a close relative during pregnancy. The researchers compared the data to those whose mother lost a relative after pregnancy. This data was analyzed in relation to records of mental health prescription drugs obtained by the study participants.

Analysis showed the impact of a loss of a loved one to maternal stress caused by factors such as a sudden change in household resources or composition.

The likelihood of purchasing prescription drugs for ADHD is 17.3 percent higher in women who experience pregnancy stress due to unemployment. Adults, who were born from a stressful pregnancy, have 9 percent and 5.5 percent increased the likelihood to take drugs for anxiety and depression.

Data presented by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated that 70 percent of women surveyed from 2000 to 2010 reported an average of 1.81 stressful life events during the course of their pregnancy. The most common indicating factor of stress was financial particularly among younger, less educated, unmarried, and uninsured pregnant women.

A related study published in the Current Opinion in Psychiatry in 2012 noted the possible adverse outcomes of anxiety, depression, and stress in pregnancy for the mother and the unborn child.

“Chronic strain, exposure to racism, and depressive symptoms in mothers during pregnancy are associated with lower birth weight infants with consequences for infant development. These distinguishable risk factors and related pathways to distinct birth outcomes merit further investigation,” said authors Christine Dunkel Schetter and Lynlee Tanner.

Breaking Barriers

The researchers cautioned that their findings were not intended to cause further difficulty among pregnant women but rather to raise awareness on the impact of stress-related emotions for the health of the mother and the child.

Instead, the purpose of the study is to reduce stress through socio-economic support from the family and community such as giving paid maternity leaves and other resources intended for poor families.

“Moreover, since poor families are more likely to experience stress than more advantaged ones, our results imply that stress-reducing policies that target low-income pregnant women could play a role in mitigating the persistence of socio-economic inequality across generations,” the authors wrote.

The authors said that focusing on stress as the main factor for fetal problems opens a new realm of understanding. Previous literature has inclined more to malnutrition in establishing a relationship between fetal shock and adulthood.

Nauseating Marijuana Side-Effect Suffered By Heavy Users Is Relieved By Taking A Hot Shower

A syndrome caused by marijuana usage could be relieved if the user takes a hot shower. This nauseating side effect affects heavy marijuana users but has a simple fix.  ( Raul Arboleda | AFP/Getty Images )

Doctors have seen the rise of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome as the use of marijuana increased in the United States. It affects heavy marijuana users and causes severe nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

Since the rise of the condition, people have found one thing that alleviates symptoms: hot showers.

Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome

A recent study looked into the prevalence of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome among marijuana smokers. Researchers interviewed 2,127 adult emergency room patient under 50 at Bellevue, which is a large public hospital in New York City.

One way to relieve the symptoms that the study found was to take hot showers.

A doctor in Colorado says that after marijuana was legalized, they were receiving twice the number of people suffering from cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. Before the recent spike in the syndrome, doctors thought that cannabinoid hyperemesis was rare.

Prevalence Among Marijuana Smokers

Scientists in the study found that out of the 2,127 emergency room patients, 155 patients say that they smoke marijuana at least 20 days a month. Out of those users, 51 patients said that they experience nausea and vomiting over the past six months that was relieved by taking hot showers.

If those numbers are taken as a proportion of the 8.3 million marijuana users, that would mean 2.7 million heavy marijuana smokers may suffer from cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. Doctors are still unsure of the cause of the syndrome, but they do know that the only effective way to stop it is to quit smoking marijuana.

People have a hard time accepting that marijuana is the cause of such a distressing condition. Patients who are suffering from cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome can be dehydrated by the time that they make it to the emergency room.

What is strange about the condition is that marijuana is given to people who deal with chronic pain.

Other researchers have suggested that cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome is a burden on the healthcare system due to the amount of expensive diagnostic tests administered and the ineffective treatments.

This isn’t the first time that marijuana legalization was linked with a negative side effect, but it marks the first occasion where hot showers are the solution.

Side Effects Of Marijuana

Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is the active ingredient in marijuana that makes people feel high. Some of the physical side effects of marijuana include increased heart rate, dizziness, shallow breathing, red eyes and dilated pupils, dry mouth, increased appetite, and slowed reaction times. Heavy use of marijuana among men is linked to lower testosterone levels and decrease in sperm count and quality.

Biochemists Develop Small, Transparent Patch To Detect Food Contamination

A tiny test patch can now determine if your food is still safe to eat. The Sentinel Wrap, developed by biochemists and engineers at McMaster University, advances science in the field of food safety.  ( McMaster University | YouTube )

Biochemists and engineers at the McMaster University have developed a new patch technology that can help prevent humans from consuming contaminated food.

Food spoilage is caused by the contamination of bacteria like E. coli and salmonella. The Shiga toxins produced by E. coli can lead to diarrhea, fatal respiratory illnesses, pneumonia, and even death.

The World Health Organization estimates that about 10 percent of patients with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli infection may develop hemolytic uremic syndrome, a serious disease brought by the E. coli strain. About three to five out of 10 patients are most likely going to die due to complications such as acute renal failure, severe anemia, and thrombocytopenia or low blood platelets.

The most potent source of E. coli is the consumption of raw or undercooked meat as well as contaminated milk. Pathogens breed in livestock animals like cattle, sheep, goats, and deer, and then transferred to humans when they are shipped to supermarkets and wet stores.

The Test Patch

To address this, a team of engineers from McMaster University partnered with chemists in the campus to develop a test patch that can determine if harmful bacteria are present in food.

This technology, which was published in the journal ACS Nano, aims to replace the traditional expiry date stamped on food packages. Expiry dates are often unreliable especially if there are problems with proper food storage, according to the Department of Health and Human Services in Victoria, Australia.

“In the future, if you go to a store and you want to be sure the meat you’re buying is safe at any point before you use it, you’ll have a much more reliable way than the expiration date,” said Hanie Yousefi, lead author and a graduate student at the Faculty of Engineering.

The patch, called the Sentinel Wrap, is transparent and measures less than an inch in width. Ideally, food manufacturers would place the patch inside the food package and anyone can test its freshness or contamination using a smartphone or a simple portable device.

“When the bacteria are present, if you put it into the packaging, you can actually see the presence of those dots. They shine up, compared to the samples that do not have the bacteria present in them,” said Tohid Didar, a mechanical-biomedical engineer and also an assistant professor at McMaster Institute for Infectious Disease Research.

The team also collaborated with biochemist Yingfu Li to develop the signaling technology that will detect the existence of pathogens on the food above the reasonable level.

The Sentinel Wrap can help manufacturers, sellers, and consumers check food safety without necessarily going to a lab for proper testing.

Although mass production of the patch will be relatively cheaper compared to other technologies, the Sentinel Wrap would need the approval of private and government entities in order to be rolled out in the market for large-scale use.

Chicken Salad Salmonella Outbreak Update: 1 Dead, 265 Sick, 8 States Affected

At least one death is tied to February’s salmonella outbreak, which the CDC confirms roots from contaminated chicken salad made by an Iowan company. The outbreak also caused 265 people to get sick.  ( Bryan Steffy | Getty Images for Barcelona Enterprises )

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirms at least one death from a recent salmonella outbreak that affected eight states and caused 265 people to get sick, and also caused 94 people to be hospitalized.

Federal officials the death of a woman from Iowa is tied to salmonella poisoning from a contaminated chicken salad sold by Fareway Stores, a Boone-based retail chain. The state’s top health expert isn’t so sure, however.

“It was the same strain, but where she got it, we just don’t know,” said Patricia Quinlisk, of the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Chicken Salad Culprit Of Salmonella Outbreak

An Ackley company prepared the chicken salad in question, found to have been tainted with salmonella bacteria, which can cause severe stomach and intestinal complications. The salmonella outbreak was first reported late February, with state department investigations confirming the food came from Triple T Specialty Meats, which made it especially for Fareway stores.

“CDC recommends people do not eat any remaining recalled chicken salad sold at Fareway grocery stores, including any that has been frozen. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase,” said the CDC in its latest and final report on the outbreak.

Lawsuits Filed Against Fareway And Chicken Salad Maker

Others affected with poisoning have launched lawsuits, and others are presently contemplating whether they should too. One woman from North Liberty is of the patients suing both Fareway and Triple T Specialty Meats.

“That could have been me,” she said upon hearing that a death had been tied to the outbreak.

After consuming the chicken salad, she experienced body aches, a headache, a severe case of diarrhea, and weight loss. Her physician even suspected she had the flu.

“It was horrific, truly horrific.” She’s now at home, although still weak from the food poisoning and subsequent hospitalization.

Salmonella often thrives in uncooked chicken and, when ingested can cause cramps, fever, and an intense case of diarrhea. Some people even reach a point of severe dehydration that need to go to the hospital for more immediate care. Most people recover within a week, although symptoms may persist for months.

Fareway has since pulled the chicken salad from its stores and has offered refunds to any consumers who had purchased the product. The company said it’s as “disappointed” and “concerned” as its customers.

“This outbreak appears to be over,” according to the CDC, which advises to throw away the contaminated chicken salad and sanitize countertops, drawers, or freezers where it might have been stored.

World’s Smallest Mechanical Heart Valve Saves Life Of 3-Year-Old Girl

Sadie Rutenberg was born with a huge hole inside her heart. Thanks to this miraculous heart valve by Abbott, she is now thriving at three years old.  ( Sean Gallup | Getty Images )

Abbott’s Masters HP, the world’s smallest mechanical heart valve measuring only 15 millimeters, has saved the life of a three-year-old girl from Seattle who was born with a congenital heart defect.

As early as the first 12 months of her life, Sadie Rutenberg already had two open-heart surgeries, both of which were ineffective in treating her complete atrioventricular canal defect or CAVC.

Unfortunately, an organ transplant was not an option. Back in 2015, her tiny body was rendered as too weak to survive the delicate procedure. In fact, only a machine kept her breathing.

“All expectations were … if we didn’t do something fairly quickly that she was going to die,” says the patient’s father Lee’or in a report.

Abbott Masters HP: Creating Medical Miracles

Sadie was only eight months old when she received the Masters HP heart valve under a surgical trial conducted in Seattle Children’s Heart Center.

It all began when the hospital’s co-director and chief of pediatric cardiovascular surgery Dr. Jonathan Chen approached the young patient’s family. He asked them if they wanted to try a revolutionary heart procedure to give Sadie a chance at life.

At that time, Abbott’s dime-sized device lacked the approval of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. However, the Rutenberg family agreed to have it installed inside their child.

According to Sadie’s mother Wendy, they didn’t have any other option and that they felt excited about the trial.

By May 2015, the Masters HP heart valve was successfully connected to Sadie’s heart, and she became the first patient in the trial to have it fitted inside her body.

What Is Complete Atrioventricular Canal Defect?

People born with CAVC have a huge hole right in the middle of their heart. This affects all four chambers of the organ, explains the American Heart Association.

In normal conditions, blood containing oxygen from the lungs do not mix in with blood from the body, which lacks oxygen. As a result, both kinds of blood are combined in a heart with CAVC, making the valves ineffective in coursing blood to their appropriate station for circulation.

When blood lacking oxygen is pumped into arteries meant for the lungs, it makes the heart and lungs work much harder. Such may also lead to lung congestion.

Sadie Rutenberg: Proof Of Second Chances

Now aged three, Sadie is still dependent on blood thinner and will need a valve replacement when she is older. Nonetheless, she is growing up to be an active young girl.

“Abbott’s new mechanical pediatric heart valve is a life-changing technology for the smallest pediatric patients, giving them a better chance at a long, healthy life with a fully functioning heart,” says the manufacturer’s vice president for structural heart business Michael Dale in an official statement.

The approval of the world’s smallest mechanical heart valve by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration was announced on March 6.

Bayer Essure System For Permanent Birth Control Receives Label Update

Once again, the American Food and Drug Administration slapped restrictions on Bayer for its controversial Essure implant. The device now comes with a checklist that must be signed by the patient before insertion.  ( Ted Aljibe | AFP/Getty Images )

Bayer’s Essure System for Permanent Birth Control now comes with a new label update to ensure that women considering it are fully informed about its health risks and benefits.

In 2016, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration required the manufacturer to add a boxed warning, as well as a patient decision checklist to the product’s packaging. However, plenty of women were still given the birth control device without being adequately informed of its potential dangers.

As a solution, a restriction was issued on April 9 to limit Essure’s sale only among doctors and healthcare providers who use the newly approved “Patient-Doctor Discussion Checklist – Acceptance of Risk and Informed Decision Acknowledgement.”

Under this mandate, medical professionals need to review the checklist together with their female patients and allow them to sign it before implantation of the contraceptive.

Risks Of Using Essure Birth Control Device

So far, Bayer’s Essure System is the only birth control device available on the market, which is offering women with permanent protection without having to undergo a surgical procedure.

The contraceptive comes with permanent coils that are inserted into the patient’s fallopian tubes. After three months, new tissue forms around the site, creating a natural barrier that keeps the sperm from reaching an egg cell.

Approved for general sale and distribution by federal regulators back in 2002, the product received flak in 2016 after thousands of female patients came forward with complaints.

They reported that the non-surgical and non-hormonal birth control method had caused depression, accidental pregnancies, uterine bleeding, and abdominal pain. Some also claimed to have experienced device migration.

Bayer’s Stand On FDA Restrictions

All of these cases match up with Bayer’s statement, which says that risks vary according to the length of time that a patient has been using the contraceptive. It did note some reports of migration, where women complained about their device being dislocated in the pelvis or lower abdominal area.

“No birth control method is 100% effective,” says the pharmaceutical company behind the controversial contraceptive. “Ectopic pregnancies (pregnancy outside the uterus) may occur with Essure. This can be life-threatening.”

Despite the strong backlash, Bayer remains confident that its permanent birth control device is “safe and effective” option that can benefit female patients. According to the company, this claim is backed up by scientific evidence gathered by the FDA itself.

Besides issuing packaging restrictions, the agency monitored Bayer’s Essure System through surveillance studies centering on its safety. The last one was conducted on September 2, 2016, with the results available for viewing online.
